Is accepting applications from Russian and international artists for staying at the Art Residence NCCA-ROSIZO in Kronstadt in 2020


Invited to participate are the artists working in different mediums - photography, video art, performance, installation, painting and graphics, sculpture, public-art and landscape projects.
How to become a resident?

fill in the residence application form with the planned project description or assumed artistic activities during residency

attach your CV and portfolio (personal site link or pdf file), your scanned passport copy

send everything listed above to zavediy.anna@ncca-spb.ru until (23:59 Moscow time) October 12, 2019 with the header "OPEN CALL"

Selected candidates will be determined no later than November 10, 2019 and will be notified of participation in the art residence by e-mail

Until November 20, 2019 contest winners must confirm their participation and dates of stay at the art residence
Conditions of stay
  • The contest winners are awarded a free residency for the time which is no longer than 30 days;
  • International residents will receive an official invitation for visa.
  • We do not cover visa and transportation costs, food, working materials, long-distance telephone calls or any other expenses related to the residency and public presentation of the works.
  • Possible arrival dates: from January 15th to December 31st, 2020 for Russian artists, from
    February 15th to December 31st 2020 for international artists.
Selection conditions
The applications will be reviewed by the Residence Board of Experts, which will consist of NCCA-ROSIZO staff. The decision of the Board is not subject to review or decline explanations.
Residency plan can include
  • Working on a project from start to finish. Please, try to describe in detail, on what kind of work you would like to spend your time at the Residence;
  • Working on a certain stage of some project that is already in progress;
  • Public presentation/artist-talk/workshop/or exhibition by the end of residence period.
